Did You Know?

After years of working at the Taller de Gráfica Popular, Ignacio Aguirre eventually became the print shop's director during the 1950s.

Description

Ignacio Aguirre was associated with the Taller de Gráfica Popular, a print shop in Mexico City that encouraged artists to make politically-oriented work. Although Aguirre did not identify the victim or his companion in this work, the striking spotlight on the pair suggests a sense of drama and unease.
